Presents:
Faculty Center Overview
The Student System is being upgraded. This presentation will highlight the enhancements to Instructor self-service available in MyCSULB. These will be implemented May 15, 2007.
Although there are several major enhancements, the basic functions remain the same.
One of the enhancements is a new " Faculty Center " which provides a "home base" to access several components including Class Rosters and Grade Rosters. Let's take a look . . .

Faculty Center is one of the items listed on My Menu.

Welcome to the Faculty Center!
Before we show you some of the options and selections, let's minimize My Menu.

One of the first things you will notice are the tabs displayed at the top of the page.

Class Search provides detailed information on course offerings.
The Advisement tab is available to instructors who advise students.
Each tab is a unique component.

The Faculty Center tab displays your teaching schedule for the current term.

Note that the Junior student is now at the top of the roster.
Students who drop the course during the period "W" grades are assigned will appear on the "Enrolled" roster with '(Withdrawn)' next to their name.
Likewise, students who are auditing the course will appear on the "Enrolled" roster with '(Audit)' next to their name.

You can change the 'Enrollment Status' to view students on the wait list for the course.
Click on the Change button when you have made your selection.
The 'Drop' option displays students who dropped the course between the first day of instruction for the term and the date we begin posting "W" grades.
If you have more than 80 students enrolled in your
class, the class roster will continue on another page. Click 'View All' to see the entire roster.
Or click to view the next page.

There is an Excel download button that allows you to load the roster into a spreadsheet.
If you choose this option, be sure your browser allows window pop-ups.

Click the Open button
A window for Excel will appear to download the roster.

Note: You may need to resize the columns to the
desired width.

Just click 'Permission Numbers'
You now have the ability to view the students who have been assigned a permit to enroll in your class and their status!

Student 'Status' will indicate if the student has used the permit.
Remember, students must be officially registered by the deadline!
