CSULB will soon experience an 8.9 PeopleSoft upgrade to the Student Administration System.

This will affect all student system users (administrative, students, faculty, and HR).

The CMS Team wants to take this opportunity to give you a preview of the following enhancements and new features:

New Search Text Box
New Search Options

My Degree Progress

One of the first things you will notice is PeopleSoft
has a fresh new look.
And, navigation is now located in a boxed area on the left side of the screen.

Select the Campus Community link
Watch what happens when you click on 'Campus Community'.

Instead of cascading menus, the information is organized in 'folders', similar to Windows.

Select the Biographical (Student) link

And, just like Windows, you can drill down until you find your selection.

In addition to the enhanced navigation feature, the new My Favorites allows you to create your own short cuts
to your most frequented pages.
Just watch while we add 'Student Milestones' to My Favorites.

Select the My Favorites link
Now that the 'Student Milestones' page has appeared, let's click on the new My Favorites and add it!

Just click 'OK', and 'Student Milestones' has been added to your favorites!

The 'Student Milestones' has been added to My Favorites.
But, the best news is that where ever you sign on to the system, whether it is from
your favorites will be there for your use!

My Favorites also offers an edit feature.

This feature also allows you to edit your favorites by renaming them, reorganizing them, or, deleting them.

You can now find what you want by using the new Search feature.
You may have noticed that some of the names are different in the navigation menu.
Just key the information in the Search text box, and let the system do the work!

Have you ever wanted to sort your data after it had been selected?
Guess what!
Just remember, only the columns with underlined titles offer the 'sort-able' feature.
So, just click on the underlined title, and the system will automatically sort the data!
A new feature called 'sort-able grids' now gives you
this capability.

Some grids even provide an Excel download button, that allows you to load data into a spreadsheet.
Just depress the 'Ctrl' key, and click on the Excel download icon.

We have shown you many new features.
And, although there are several new enhancements,
the system continues to work basically the same as it did prior to the upgrade.
However, there is one major enhancement we still
want to share!
We are talking about the new
MyDegree Progess.

The MyDegree Progress will be available with the new system upgrades.
Just go to the Student Systems Upgrade Support website and select the MyDegree Progress presentation.
