Student System Upgrade Support
The CSULB Student System will be upgraded in early May 2011. This website has been created to assist administrative users to navigate this change.
When is the upgrade?
Wednesday, May 4th 2011

Business hours - Campus does work in current system (version 8.9) as usual including updates

Evening – Student system is frozen to begin upgrade, no updates allowed!
Thursday, May 5th through Monday, May 9th
- Student system is not available.
- MyCSULB is not available.
- CSLink reports will be available with data as of Wednesday evening.
Tuesday, May 10th
Upgraded system (Version 9) is live for full administrative and self-service use. Business as usual in the new world!
What are the key changes?
The following presentations and quick reference guides have been created to help you understand the key changes in the student system. Just click on the topic to view the presentation or guide. For presentations, you can use the buttons on the bottom of the presentation screen to pause the presentation, move forward, or go backwards. You can also click on the topics in the left menu to go directly to that part of the presentation.
How can I navigate these changes?
Can I practice?
Yes you can! Administrative users will be given access to a practice database. This database contains real student data as of February 23, 2011. It also is set up with your real security. Click the link below and sign-in using your Campus ID number and normal Student System password. If you have changed your password since February 23rd – you will need to use the old one! Feel free to make changes and explore the system as this is just a practice database. Be aware that this practice system can only be accessed from campus computers.
