EFFECTIVE DATE:  Fall Semester August 26, 2002/ Spring Semester January 22, 2003

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  MA, MFA, MPH, or RN in relevant discipline, including but not limited to Women's Studies, History, English, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Health Sciences, Political Science, International Studies.  Candidates must have the potential for successful college-level teaching in Women's Studies and must be familiar with feminist principles.  The applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Ph.D. or equivalent advanced graduate degree in Women's Studies or in a related discipline.  Evidence of successful teaching experience relative to assignment.  Preference for those whose training and experience best qualify them for the course(s) to be taught. 

DUTIES:  Teach one or more courses including, but not limited to, those listed.  Availability of specific assignment contingent on schedule, enrollment, and lecturer's specialization:

RANK AND SALARY:  Commensurate with training and experience; probable range for one 3-unit course, $528-632 in six monthly installments.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:  Letter of application addressing qualifications and specifying which course(s) you wish to teach; resume; three letters of recommendation; official transcript from institution awarding highest degree.  SUGGESTED DOCUMENTATION:  teaching evaluations.

    (Employment is contingent upon proof of the legal right to work in the United States.  This proof must be provided prior to employment at the University.  An Appointment is not final until proof is provided.)
