EFFECTIVE DATE: Spring Semester - January 23, 2002
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.A. in Public Health, Science, Sociology, or Economics, with an emphasis in Latina/o health issues in the United States. Candidate must demonstrate successful college or university teaching experience. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Public Health, Science, Sociology, or Economics, with in-depth knowledge of the public policies, epidemiologies, and cultural factors that influence the etiologies of diseases within Latina/o subpopulations and their access to health care.
DUTIES: The appointee will teach CHLS 470I (same course as HCA 470I) Latinas/Latinos: Health Status and Health Care Access.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with training and experience; probable range $528-632 per 3-unit course in six monthly installments.
