EFFECTIVE DATE: FALL 2002August 26, 2002 to December 23, 2002; SPRING 2003 January 22, 2003 to May 30, 2003 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MA in Anthropology or appropriate related field. Potential for teaching effectiveness. Applicants must state which subjects they are prepared to teach, and indicate their qualifications to do so. Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ABD or PhD in Anthropology or appropriate related field and college teaching experience. Preference is given to applicants best suited to teach the course(s) available. Preference for evidence of successful CSU teaching. DUTIES: Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in Socio-cultural anthropology, linguistics, physical anthropology and archaeology. SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with training and experience. Probable range for one 3-unit course is $528 to $797 per six monthly installments. REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: Letter of application addressing minimum and desired qualifications, resume, three letters of recommendation, and official transcript from institution awarding highest degree. (Employment is contingent upon proof of the legal right to work in the United States. This proof must be provided prior to employment at the University.
