The University Honors Program at California State University, Long Beach, challenges and enriches the educational experience of motivated students. Distinguished professors facilitate and encourage students to explore ideas and concepts thoroughly in intimate, discussion-oriented classes.
Honors students strive for excellence, dedicate themselves to enriching their educational experience and actively participate in classes and lectures. Honors students benefit from interaction with prestigious faculty and other goal-oriented and committed students who have diverse backgrounds and unique personal experiences. Graduating with honors is an outstanding accomplishment that has benefited many alumni who have become doctors, lawyers and Pulitzer Prize winning journalists.

"Green Your Campus" Presented by Green Campus
Tuesday, April 17th
University Student Union Beach Auditorium @ 12:30-1:30pm
Join the Green Campus Interns as they offer an eye-opening look at the environmental impact made by your average college student in a single day. In addition to enlightening statistics, the Interns will also offer resources that you can explore in understanding and mitigating your own impact on the environment. Enough of “green-washing” your way to sustainability! Let’s take concrete steps to really make a difference.
Monthly Honor Code Contributors Meeting

The Honor Code provides a unique opportunity for students in the Program to contribute their writing, artistic, and design talents to a newsletter with a readership that includes over 400 UHP participants, hundreds of prospective students and even the President of the University. Come to our monthly meetings and join this collaborative and creative undertaking!

Career Development Center Counselor, Wayne Tokunaga, will be offering his input on the A to Z’s of graduate school, from selecting the right program, to preparing for the entrance exams, securing possible funding, writing your personal statement and more.
Best Buddies Friendship Walk

Join us as we walk to raise funds for the Best Buddies programs of inclusion. Best Buddies is an organization that creates opportunities for friendship building, integrated employment, and leadership programs to educate people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to be advocates for social inclusion in the community. Make a difference in the life of a person with IDD and join our walking team 'CSULB University Honors Program' at www.bestbuddiescalifornia.org/socalwalk. All walkers must donate a minimum of $5.
International Food & Adventure Storytelling Night

Come join our international food and adventure storytelling night and be inspired to study abroad! Bring a dish that is popular in your ancestral country, or perhaps in a country you have visited – or hope to visit someday. We will sit down to a diverse dinner and talk about our experiences in other nations, sharing stories of our travels and dreams of the places we would like to see. If you have ever been abroad either to study or travel, then please bring photos from your global adventures as well!

End-of-the-Semester Movie Night

Come join our end-of-the-semester movie night and celebrate the close of another successful spring at The Beach! Please bring yourself, your friends, and a simple dish or snack for the potluck too! Monthly Beach Clean-Up

Come help us clean the beach! A clean environment is critical to the well-being of our entire ecosystem, so make a difference for the betterment of our planet. If possible, bring garden/work gloves, reusable water bottles and trash grabbers. We’ll meet as a group at the blue check-in tent and clean the beach together!
