Scholarly Writing Institute
Presented by the Office of University Research and the Faculty Center for Professional Development, the Scholarly Writing Institute (SWI) is a three day intensive writing experience. Tenure-track faculty members of all ranks and disciplines are welcome. Faculty interested in registering for the Scholarly Writing Institute are asked to have most of their research completed (ready to write) and have a laptop computer available for their use.
The program will provide participants 20 hours of dedicated writing time and resource consultants who are recognized for their expertise in specific areas such as editing, and statistical analyses. It is important for faculty attendees to attend all three days of the workshop, from 8:30 – 4:30 each day. Registration is required and it is suggested that you register early as demand has exceeded capacity in the last couple of years.
SWI’s are held in January and in June. The next SWI’s for 2010 are:
Winter Session 2010 -- January 12, 13, & 14 is Now Closed
SWI will be held in the Anatol Center.
We will start accepting registrations now, with registration closing December 1 or when there are no more available seats.
We are very proud of the SWI and the format that has evolved over the years from faculty feedback. If you have any questions or require assistance with the registration process, please contact Robin Moore in the Office of University Research at rlmoore@csulb.edu or 5-2478
