Scholarly Writing Institute

The time and support you need to finish your writing projects

Presented by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Faculty Center for Professional Development, the Scholarly Writing Institute (SWI) is a three-day intensive writing experience. All tenure-track faculty members are welcome. Faculty interested in registering for the Scholarly Writing Institute are asked to have most of their research completed (ready to write) and have a laptop computer available for their use.

The program will provide participants 20 hours of dedicated writing time and resource consultants who are recognized for their expertise in specific areas such as editing, and statistical analyses. It is important for faculty attendees to attend all three days of the workshop, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each day.

Register for SWI

• Registration begins on November 10, 2011 and closes on December 16, 2011. It is suggested that you register early as demand has exceeded capacity in recent years. 

• Please register by sending an email to ORSP@csulb.edu. Please specify if you have any special needs for assistance or dietary preference (e.g., vegetarian, vegan).

• Registration priority will be given to full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members.
