Information Regarding Use of the CSU Long Responsible Conduct of Research Online Orientation Program

The CSU Long Beach ON-LINE Orientation Program (Program) on the Responsible Conduct of Research was written and produced in the CSULB Office of University Research, and the copyright is held by California State University, Long Beach, 2000, 2001, 2002. The University reserves all rights to this text and to its form of presentation.

Other institutions may wish to use the existing Program to meet their training responsibilities in Human Subjects Protections, Animal Care and Use, and other Responsible Conduct of Research topics. The Office of University Research, California State University, Long Beach, is authorized to license the use of modules and to adapt certain sections, such as the final examinations in each module for other institutions. Final examination grading and maintenance of completion rosters must be managed at the local participating institution. There is a one-time charge of $100 per module per participating institution for licensing and standard adaptation. Additional charges may be made for non-standard adaptations.

Institutions may wish to copy the html markup and text for the Program or parts of the program and revise it to suit their own institutional circumstances. This form of licensing is subject to a one-time fee of $50 per module.

Participation in the on-going development of the text and bibliographies of the Program is encouraged from participating licensees.
