Responsible Conduct of Research
Orientation Program
Introduction
The Office of Research Integrity of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has mandated (and currently suspended) that all persons engaged in research or research training with DHHS support "... shall successfully complete a program of instruction in the responsible conduct of research ...."
This CSULB site includes
interactive learning modules for: 1) Human Subjects, 2) Animal
Use and Care, 3) Research Misconduct, and 4) Conflict of Interest.
Each module is self-contained and provides opportunity for program
evaluation and personal knowledge testing. Research leaders and
faculty are urged to discuss the web-based materials and other resources
within the context of their research projects and classrooms. Institutional
certification is based on successful completion of exit examinations
for each web-based module.
