Reporting Perceived Deficiencies in Animal Care and Treatment
The Animal Welfare Act requires that employees receive instruction on:
"methods whereby deficiencies in animal care and treatment are reported, including deficiencies in animal care and treatment reported by any employee of the facility. No facility employee, IACUC member or laboratory personnel shall be discriminated against or be subject to any reprisal for reporting violations of any regulation or standards under the act."
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH AND EVERY PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR TO INSTRUCT ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF REPORTING TO THEM ON METHODS WHEREBY DEFICIENCIES IN ANIMAL CARE AND TREATMENT CAN BE REPORTED.
Any deficiencies in animal care and treatment at CSULB can be reported (anonymously, if desired) to any of the following individuals:
