Donate a Target Gift Card to Engineering Girls at the Beach

Staff Council is collecting Target gift cards, with a value up to $25, to assist 40 fifth- and sixth-grade girls staying at CSULB in August for a week-long Engineering Girls at the Beach program.

The girls, who are from the Villages at Cabrillo, will participate in engineering-based activities and will receive information to help them on a pathway to college success. The Target gift cards will assist the girls in purchasing personal items for their stay on campus.

If you would like to donate a Target gift card, please drop it off by August 1 at Staff Human Resources, BH 335. Or call extension 5-8798 for pick up. Those donating will be recognized during a special orientation ceremony.

Did You Know?

Seven engineering students are in Nebraska this week for the Formula SAE chapter of the Collegiate Design Series, a competition that pits the race car they designed and built against cars from 80 other teams.

Led by graduated senior Adam Rowe, the team members include Taylor Hoff, Ryan Lee, Jonathan Levine, Paolo Linares, Kyle O’Rourke and Matthew Serrano. Christiane Beyer (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) is the faculty advisor on the project. We wish them the best of luck.
