Four faculty members received 2012-13 Ethics Across the Curriculum Awards from the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership.
The award provides a $2,000 stipend to faculty who integrate a three-hour ethics module into their courses. The next application deadline for pedagogical proposals is November 8, 2013.
In the future, funding will also be available for ethics research grants. The application deadline for research proposals is March 1, 2014.
Over the next three days, in nine Commencement ceremonies, more than 8,600 students will be graduating from CSULB. Thousands of friends and families will visit our campus to celebrate our students' achievements. We share in the pride of accomplishment of our students.

A software license for Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection is expected to be available for installation on all university-owned computers beginning Fall 2013 and continuing through June 2016.
Information regarding availability, distribution and installation of Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection are pending the completion of the procurement process at the Chancellor's Office, which is expected in July. The software includes:
Academic Technology Services (ATS) will provide details to campus technologists who will be the primary source for installation.

This summer the College of Engineering is bringing 40 fifth- and sixth-grade girls from the Villages at Cabrillo to the CSULB dorms for a new week-long Engineering Girls at the Beach program. From August 5 – 11, the girls will participate in engineering-based activities and receive information to help them on a pathway to college success.
Staff Council is collecting Target gift cards with a value up to $25 to assist the girls in purchasing personal items for their stay. If you would like to donate a Target gift card, please drop it off by August 1 at Staff Human Resources, BH 335. Or call extension 5-8798 for pick up. Those donating will be recognized during a special orientation ceremony.
