Three CSULB students took home awards at the CSU Student Research Competition at Cal Poly Pomona May 10-11.
They were among nine CSULB students competing against nearly 200 others from universities throughout the CSU system. See the complete list of students who participated. Congratulations to Amberle, Tamara, Matthew and all of the students on their outstanding research.
Staff participation is critical to making Commencement special for our graduates and their families. Employees who would like to participate in the 2013 Commencement festivities May 22-24, and have their supervisor’s permission, are encouraged to volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities include distributing Commencement programs, assisting the Platform Party and providing directions to guests on campus. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of one (1) two-hour time period.
Please contact Monique Lopez via e-mail at Monique.Lopez@csulb.edu or extension 5-4546 to volunteer or for additional information.
Traffic will be heavy and parking congested during Commencement May 22 – May 24. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Signs will be posted to identify which type of parking is allowed in each lot. Attendants, as well as police officers, will be on duty to direct and control traffic. The south campus turnaround will be congested, as it has been designated as a "drop zone" for personal vehicles as well as shuttles.
Congestion may also occur at the outlying shuttle stops (Pyramid and east campus by Parking Structure 2, south end). If you have specific parking questions, please contact the Parking Office at extension 5-4146 or ParkingGeneral@csulb.edu.
