Winter Institute on Teaching and Learning

The Winter Institute on Teaching and Learning (WITL) has been reorganized to meet the demands of the campus cutbacks. This year, the WITL will be held as a series of one hour, “drop-in” workshops offered January 20 – 22. All workshops will be held in the Faculty Center for Professional Development (AS 116). No registration is required. Workshops are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, January 20

• Writing Efficient and Effective Writing Assignments, 10-11 am

Theme: Communicate and Collaborate

• Elluminate Demo, 12 – 1 pm
• Hands on BeachWiki Workshop, 1 – 2 pm

Thursday, January 21

Theme: What’s New?

• Hands on iClickers workshop, 12 – 1:30 pm
• Podcasting at CSULB Demo, 2-3 pm

Friday, January 22

Theme: Everything Beachboard!

• Beachboard for Beginners (Overview) Demo, 11 am – 12 pm
• Hands-on Quizzing with Beachboard Workshop, 12 -1 pm
• Beachboard Tools: Respondus/Turnitin Demo, 1-2 pm
