The Faculty Center for Professional Development is accepting nominations for faculty members to participate in Designs4Learning, a three-week, online course that teaches instructors how to redesign their courses to incorporate technology with traditional instructor-led teaching. Faculty who complete the course successfully and offer a blended learning course the following spring or fall are eligible for a $500 stipend. The course will be held from August 5 - 21.
Tenured, tenure-track, and full-time lecturers are eligible to participate. Departments should select faculty who teach high impact courses. This course may be a G.E. course or a course in the major. Participants must be employed by CSULB in the fall 2009 semester.
Nomination forms must be submitted to fcpd@csulb.edu or the Faculty Center for Professional Development, Academic Services 116, before 5 p.m. on July 15, 2009. Awardees will be notified by July 30, 2009.
