That Beautiful Laugh
That Beautiful Laugh opens tonight, March 27, at 8 pm, and runs April 7-11; 14-18 in the CSULB Studio Theatre. Performances begin at 7:30 pm on Thursdays and 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. That Beautiful Life, an original work presented by the CSULB University Players, is an exploration of laughter, and features clowning, live music, and joy. The Verdi Requiem
The Cole Conservatory of Music presents Celebrating Music 2009: The Verdi Requiem , Sunday, April 19 at 4pm at the Carpenter Center. More than 250 Cole Conservatory singers and instrumentalists join forces under the baton of Jonathan Talberg to present Verdi's rich, powerful and dramatically charged Requiem, some of the most beautiful choral music ever written.
HyperDrive: A Celebration of Dance
The CSULB Department of Dance presents HyperDrive: a Celebration of Dance Thursday-Friday, April 23-24 at 8 pm at the Carpenter Center. This exceptional performance of dance and movement features choreography by CSULB's acclaimed Dance faculty and special guests Frank Chaves and Marie de la Palme. Special VIP tickets include a pre-performance reception and showcase, along with a "behind the scenes" tour of CSULB's top-ranked dance facilities. Art Department Galleries
The Art Department galleries will feature Photography BFA Group Show, BFA Ceramics Show and BFA Printmaking Show April 5-9. Opening receptions will be April 5 from 5-7pm. Pink Floyd LaserSpectacular
Due to popular demand, the Pink Floyd LaserSpectacular has added a second performance - 4 pm on Saturday, April 18. The 8 pm performance that night has already sold out. The event includes the best of Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall - vividly brought to life with multi-screen video projections and state-of-the-art laser technology. All the excitement of a live concert, with thrilling visuals choreographed to one of the greatest bands of all time!
