The Faculty Center for Professional Development’s annual Winter Institute on Teaching and Learning will be held on January 20, 2009 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Anatol Center.
We will provide a follow-up to the Summer Institute on Teaching and Learning on GE by exploring AAC&U’s High Impact Educational Practices. Plenary and noon presentations along with break-out sessions on high impact practices such as learning communities, study abroad, writing across the disciplines, and service learning will be included. Faculty participants will receive a $250 stipend* and High Impact Practices (Kuh, 2008).

*Please note: Only faculty who are employed in the spring are eligible for a stipend and faculty with 12 month appointments are NOT eligible for a stipend.
