Chinese Tradition and Culture in Health and Daily Life: Professor Shua An and CSULB students will introduce Chinese health tradition on using herbs and tea in daily life, demonstrate appropriate ways to make green tea and teach a famous Chinese tai qi exercise from 9 – 10:30 a.m. in the University Student Union 205ABC Huntington Room.
Power of Understanding, Study Abroad Presentation: As a student, why should you study abroad and what will it do for you? Why should we be aware of other cultures around us? All the answers lie in the power of understanding rather than trying to be understood. Brittney Massey, a communication studies major, will share her experiences, fund raising strategies, and the meaning behind the power of understanding between 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the University Student Union 205ABC Huntington Room.
Study Abroad Experience in China: Students Michiko Schricker, Courtney Colborn, Chih-Yi Ku, Nour Kweider, and Miki Mori will present their experiences studying in China from 12-1:30 p.m. in the University Student Union 205ABC Huntington Room
Art Programs in China: Professor Chris Miles will present information on Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. There will also be a Q&A on the procedure of applying for this study opportunity in China from 12 – 1:30 p.m. in Faculty Office 4, room 311.

Workshop on Increasing Education Abroad Participation Among Minority Students: The National Association For Equal Opportunity (NAFEO) in Higher Education will present “Survey on Foreign Languages, International Studies, and Study Abroad Opportunities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Primarily Black serving Institutions (PBIs)” and explain how this data can be used to increase minority student participation in international education programs on CSULB’s campus. CSULB students who participated in the recent study abroad trip to Tanzania will also participate and discuss their experiences from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. University Student Union 205ABC Huntington Room
Careers at the United Nations: a Public Lecture: Nelly Keita, Office of Human Resource Management, United Nations Secretariat, New York will talk about careers at the United Nations from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the University Student Union Beach Auditorium
Ambasador Zhang Yun, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Los Angeles will speak about the People's Republic of China from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Anatol Center
