Two events will highlight Spain in the Americas and the Americas in Spain on November 21, in the Anatol Center (AS 110). At 2 p.m. Professor Emeritus Shirley Mangini will discuss “Maruja Mallo: International Artist.” At 3:30 p.m. Luis Martín-Cabrera, from UCSD, will discuss “Pinochet on Film: History, Memory, Justice. ”
A reception will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by Flamenco en vivo at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. It is presented by the Spanish Club and Associated Students, Inc., at California State University, Long Beach, the Consulate General of Spain in Los Angeles, Peninsularistas of California, & the Department of Romance, German, Russian Languages and Literatures.
