Under the direction of David Anglin and Jonathan Talberg, members of The Cole Conservatory Opera Institute present staged scenes from familiar operas and a a brand new act from Cole Conservatory faculty member Carolyn Bremer’s latest work, a yet unnamed opera to be presented in full in the 2009-2010 season.

The Gatov West Gallery will feature Amanda McGinnis' mixed media exploration of performance, persona, expectation, interaction, life/death, and cultural ideologies. The Gatov East Gallery will feature Patrick Ballard's installation dealing with pattern recognition, subjectivity of measurement, Eastern Philosophy and meditation - all influenced by particle physics. Allison Stewart's color photography, displayed in the Merlino Gallery, examines domestic space and the human dramas that play out within it. Ceramic works addressing issues of living in Long Beach, created by Jeremy Pawlowicz, will be on display in the Dutzi Gallery, while the Werby Gallery showcases Vishal Guklani's wood work that delves into themes of home, love, community and art experiences.

New York’s longest-running comedy revue, Chicago City Limits has reigned with its quick wit and uproarious comedy for over 25 years. Their latest show, My Space or Yours?, takes aim at today’s headlines, sidelines and everything in between. From social networks to high profile jerks, and election campaigns to gas price pains— Chicago City Limits will take you on a virtual tour de force of high energy laugh-inducing creative comedy!
