The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is hosting the Fellows Colloquium April 17 at 7:30 a.m. at The Pointe in the Walter Pyramid. Mladen Barbic, assistant professor of physics and astronomy at CSULB will present Quest for Physics' Holy Grail: Atomic MRI.
Barbic earned both his bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in physics from UC San Diego, and completed postdoctoral research in Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology. A multiple National Science Foundation and prestigious CAREER Award winner, Barbic’s research includes atomic resolution MRI, magnetic nano-structures and micro-devices in bio-engineering, and micro/nano-electro-mechanical systems.
