Students Earn Trophies in National
Moot Court Competition

Two California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) made it to the second day of competition before being eliminated from the American Collegiate Moot Court Association (ACMA) National Tournament.  in the past, only four other CSULB students have made it that far.  Mason Taylor and Lindsay Nelson received trophies for their strong performances in Iowa in January.  In addition, Taylor was ranked 17th orator in the nation.

Taylor and Nelson, who were paired with students from Patrick Henry College, were among six students who qualified for the National Tournament after strong finishes in the Western Regional competition at CSULB.  Juniors Ted McNamara and Melissa Sanchez and seniors Paige McCormack and Muhammad Ataya also earned a spot in the national tournament.  McNamara was ranked 42nd orator out of 128.
