Difference In Pay Leave [D-I-P]

Difference-In-Pay leave [PS 97-10] compensates faculty an amount equal to the difference between the minimum salary of the Lecturer rank and their current salary for either the semester or the academic year. Faculty are eligible for this type of leave after six years and then after three consecutive years of service since their last leave.

Deadlines

  • February 18, 2008 - Faculty submit DIP applications to Department Leave Committees.
  • March 1, 2008 - Faculty submit DIP Leave Reports to Academic Personnel for leave taken in Fall 2007.
  • March 10, 2008 - Department Leave Committees submit recommendations to the Deans/Directors.
  • March 17, 2008 - Deans/Directors submits all recommendations to Academic Affairs.
  • April 1, 2008 - Provost announces awards for 2008-09 academic year.
