Salary Range

Dependent on qualifications, experience and time base

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in the Biological Sciences and enrollment in the Master’s degree program in Biology or Microbiology at CSULB
  • Demonstrated ability or potential to teach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community

 

Duties

  • Teach lower division Anatomy, Biology, Microbiology or Physiology courses
  • Courses include Introduction to Evolution & Diversity, General Biology, Introduction to Marine Biology, Introduction to Cell & Molecular Biology, Biostatistics, Human Anatomy, Human Biology, Human Physiology, Microbiology, General Microbiology and General Genetics

Note: Graduate students are permitted to be employed as a TA/GA for a total of six semesters.  Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 units (or in GS 700) during each semester employed unless program courses are not available or all course work (except thesis) has been completed.  This is university policy - NO EXCEPTIONS
