Position Title

Assistant Professor of Health Science

Effective Date

August 20, 2012 (Fall semester)

Salary Range

Commensurate with experience and qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree or PhD in Health Science, Community Health, Public Health, Health Education, Health

    Promotion, or a closely related field

  • Evidence of potential for successful teaching and scholarly achievement 

  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating diverse student population
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of successful teaching in Theoretical Health, Education Concepts, Health Behavior, Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, and Health Education Evaluation.
  • Record of scholarly publications and grant award
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
 

Duties

  • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses
  • Advise students
  • Engage in research and publication in Public Health, Health Science, Community Health, Policy or Health Services
  • Participate in service to Department, College and the University

  • Copy of transcripts from institution awarding highest degree
