Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. earned by the time of employment in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Environmental Engineering
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching and independent research
- Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of effective teaching experience undergraduate and/or graduate level classes in environmental engineering, curriculum development and advising in the USA
- Research and/or consulting experience in Civil Engineering
- Potential for registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Duties
-
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct laboratory experiments in:
- Environmental Engineering
- Environmental Systems Design
- Solid and Liquid Waste Treatment Design
- Develop new courses
- Work on research and scholarly activities in environmental and other related fields
- Advise and mentor students
- Participate in department, college and university committees
