Minimum Qualifications
- The degree requirement is a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Applicants must have outstanding credentials in one of the following areas: water resources planning and management, hydrologic sciences, or engineering hydraulics.
- Applicants must have demonstrated potential for effective teaching, independent research and scholarly activities.
- Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain sponsored research that involves both undergraduate and graduate students.
- Record of publications in leading water resources and (environmental) hydrology journals.
- Ability to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate classes and to develop new courses or course components.
Duties
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct laboratory experiments in:
- Fluid mechanics; hydraulics
- Surface and subsurface hydrology; environmental hydrology
- Engineering mathematics
- Develop new courses.
- Work on research and scholarly activities in Water Resources and other related fields.
- Participate in department, college and university committees.
- Student advising and mentoring.
