A Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. or D.S.W. in Social Work.
Two years post-master’s experience in Social Work.
Three years of academic administrative experience.
A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, research and service.
Ability to lead and communicate effectively and work effectively with a culturally-diverse campus community.
An established record of scholarship and teaching commensurate with appointment at the rank of Professor and demonstrated administrative experience and significant management responsibilities in a large comprehensive or doctoral granting university.
A successful history of securing and administering external grants.
Experience with hiring and mentoring faculty.
A strong commitment to diversity.
Leadership experience in professional state-wide or national organizations.
A strong record of collaboration and commitment to faculty governance.
The Department of Social Work seeks a Director who will provide dynamic vision, leadership, and administrative direction. Duties include:
Letter of application addressing qualifications,
Professional resume (including e-mail),
Three recent letters of recommendation,
Evidence of teaching effectiveness, administrative expertise and publications,
Official transcript from the institution awarding highest degree (at time of appointment).
