Part-Time Lecturer Openings (Pharmacology and Pathophysiology)

 

POSITION:  Part-time Lecturers in Biological Sciences  (Typical assignment is for a single semester, although reappointments are possible based upon successful teaching experience in the field and projected continuing needs in the department.  Possibility of renewal for one or two years.)

 

RECRUITMENT NUMBER:            554                     

 

EFFECTIVE DATES:        August 25, 2008 for FALL 2008; January 23, 2009 for SPRING 2009

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the biological  sciences required, with specialization in the area(s) to be taught.  Demonstrated potential for effective teaching.  Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically  and culturally diverse campus community.

 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Ph.D., Pharm.D., or M.D. preferred.  Expertise in field of course(s) to be taught.

 

DUTIES:  Teach courses in biological sciences as follows:

              Essentials of Pharmacology (BIOL 204)

              Pathophysiology (BIOL 304)

 

SALARY RANGE:  Dependent upon qualifications, experience, and time base.
