MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to those whose training and experience best qualify them for the particular courses to be staffed. For composition courses, the following is preferred/desired:
DUTIES: Teach one or more sections of courses in specialized area: Developmental Writing (American Language Program [ALP] or ENGL 1E); First-year Composition; Critical Reading and Writing; Technical and Professional Writing; Advanced Composition; Applied Composition and Literacy courses for prospective teachers; Literature (courses may range from introductory through graduate levels); Creative Writing; English Education (including literature for adolescents and pre-adolescents, ethnic writers, and student teacher supervision). Applicants should be available on short notice for assignment to classes in Fall 2008 or Spring 2009.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with training and experience. Probable range for one 3-unit course is from $678.00- $832.00 per month, paid in six installments per semester.
