POSITION:  Boeing Professor of Manufacturing Engineering

 

EFFECTIVE DATE:    Fall semester 2008 (August 25, 2008)

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A Ph.D. degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace   Engineering, with a specialization and experience in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, and the ability to teach other Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering courses. Demonstrated record of outstanding research. Demonstrated strong teaching record.

 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Nationally recognized record of research leading to significant grant and contract funding and publications.

 

DUTIES:  Conduct research in collaboration with industry partners through the Center for Advanced Technology Support for the Aerospace Industry (CATSAI), a strategic partnership between CSULB and The Boeing Company. Also, establish independent research programs involving students, and bring in grants and contracts to support the development of laboratories and research facilities. Develop curriculum and teach courses in manufacturing engineering.

 

SALARY RANGE:  The salary for this position is competitive, with excellent benefits, and is augmented by the proceeds from a $1.0M Boeing endowment.
