POSITION: Full-time lecturer position in the Master of Science in Counseling - Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) Option program in the Department of Educational Psychology, Administration, and Counseling at California State University, Long Beach.
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 27, 2007.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in MFT, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university; evidence of successful professional and life experiences with multicultural/multilingual clientele and students, successful experience in college/university teaching; and ability to communicate and work effectively in a culturally and linguistically diverse campus community.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a current California MFT or psychologist license or possession of the California MFT or California psychologist license; successful experience as a licensed practicing psychotherapist; clinical supervision experience; knowledge of AAMFT accreditation standards; knowledge and experience in some of the following, e.g., diagnostic interviewing, treatment planning for psychological disorders, counseling techniques, counseling diverse and/or multicultural clientele; demonstrated involvement with appropriate professional organizations.
DUTIES: Teach courses, supervise fieldwork and theses in graduate program; contribute to the operations of the counseling programs.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience and education.
