Assistant Professor of Social Work (2 positions)

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
A Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. or D.S.W. in Social Work or closely related field, or have ABD status with doctorate completed at the time of appointment
At least two years post-master’s experience in Social Work practice
Evidence of ability to publish scholarly work, conduct research, and secure external funding
Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population
Demonstrated teaching/training experience across the curriculum at BSW and MSW levels
Expertise in working with diverse populations
Evidence of research competence with publication record
Evidence of one or more specialty areas in macro practice such as community organizing, policy analysis, legislative advocacy, program planning and development, integrated health/behavioral health in community settings
Ability to teach students from culturally diverse backgrounds, research and practice experience
Teach graduate and/or undergraduate classes related to macro practice which may include community practice, social welfare policy, and administration courses
Establish a sustained record of research, scholarly and creative activities
Provide service to the school, college, university, and profession/community
