Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Astronomy, or Science Education with bachelor’s degree in Physics.
Demonstrated potential for effective teaching in lecture and laboratory sections of Introductory Physics, Physical Science, and Astronomy.
Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.
Expertise and practical experience in field of course(s) to be taught.
Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy with research experience is preferred for upper division courses.
Recent K-12 teaching experience is preferred for some courses.
Prior experiences with demonstrated excellence in effective teaching.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Courses to be taught may include lecture and laboratory sections of Introductory Physics, Physical Science, Astronomy, upper division Physics courses, and graduate-level Physics courses.
