Master's degree in or with an emphasis in Science Education.
Successful teaching experience in science/science education at one or more levels pre-K through grade 12.
Knowledge of exemplary science teaching practices and applicable science education research.
Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
Recent K-12 science teaching experience.
Successful experience working with preservice teachers.
Successful experience teaching and/or supervising preserivce elementary or secondary school teachers in science.
Prior experiences with demonstrated excellence in effective teaching.
Teach undergraduate and credential courses on a part-time basis.
Primary responsibility includes teaching science education courses in elementary or secondary school teacher preparation.
May also become involved in working with student teachers as a university supervisor.
