Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree with a specialization in Fitness or closely related field
- National certifications in personal training and/or group exercise leadership
- Demonstrated ability to teach courses in resistance training for fitness, fundamentals of personal training, theory and analysis of group exercise instruction, and fitness management
- Commitment to and/or experience in educating a diverse student population
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Kinesiology with a specialization in Fitness or closely related field
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Fitness and/or Exercise Science at the university level
- Experience in personal training, fitness management, and/or group exercise leadership
