Salary Range

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with a specialization in Fitness or closely related field    
  • National certifications in personal training and/or group exercise leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to teach courses in resistance training for fitness, fundamentals of personal training, theory and analysis of group exercise instruction, and fitness management
  • Commitment to and/or experience in educating a diverse student population

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Kinesiology with a specialization in Fitness or closely related field
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Fitness and/or Exercise Science at the university level
  • Experience in personal training, fitness management, and/or group exercise leadership

 

Duties

  • Teach courses within the Fitness program option

  •  Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair
