Part-Time Lecturer in Geological Sciences

Effective Date

August 20, 2012 for Fall 2012; January 22, 2013 for Spring 2013

Salary Range

Dependent upon qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Geological or Earth Sciences
  • Demonstrated potential for effective teaching in lecture and laboratory sections of Introductory Geology, Geology Laboratory, Earth Science, Natural Disasters, and Earth systems and Global Change
  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in Geology
  • Demonstrated success in teaching, especially Introductory Geology, Earth Science, and Natural Disasters

 

Duties

  • Teach undergraduate courses on a part-time basis

  • Courses to be taught may include lecture and laboratory sections of Introductory Geology, Earth Science for Teachers, Natural Disasters, Earth Systems and Global Change, and some upper division courses
