Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering

Effective Date

August 19, 2013 (Fall semester)

Salary Range

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related field 
    • (If the degree is not conferred at the time of application, official notification of completion of the doctoral degree must be provided by August 1, 2013)
  • Demonstrated potential for teaching
  • Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly and creative activities in Chemical Engineering
  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Established expertise and scholarly and creative activities in formulation, design, and fabrication of polymeric, composite, green, nano-scale, bio-mimmetic , and other important engineering materials
  • Demonstrated effective teaching experience in chemical engineering-related subjects

 

Duties

  • To teach and develop undergraduate and graduate Chemical Engineer courses
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate projects and/or theses
  • Contribute to on-going research projects
  • Develop new and interdisciplinary applied research projects in his/her area(s) of expertise
  • Participate in university service
