Instructional Student Assistant

Effective Date

August 27, 2012 or January 22, 2013 (contingent on budget)

Salary Range

Up to 11 hours per week, $14.00 per hour

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active enrollment in a CSULB program for at least 6 units during the semester employed
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Successful completion of courses with an A or a B (or demonstrate knowledge of course material)
  • Work no more than 9 hours per week in another on-campus job

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be available MW 11am-12:15pm OR TuTh 11am-12:15pm

  • Must be committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning/working environment

 

Duties

  • Attend the lecture every week

  • Lead an instructional support section that helps students with challenging course concepts

  • Hold one office hour per week

  • Attend pre-semester and weekly training

  • Meet with course instructor as required
