Minimum Qualifications
- Post-professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy
- Licensed as a physical therapist in California with at least 10 years of experience treating patients with neurologic disorders
- Documented in-hospital clinical teaching experience in neurologic physical therapy
- Documented University teaching experience in neurologic physical therapy
- Board certified specialist in neurologic (NCS) disorders
- Neurology Section member of American Physical Therapy Association
- Membership in Vestibular Disorders Association and National Parkinson Foundation
- Advanced training in dizziness disorders and fall prevention
- Commitment to and/or experience in educating a diverse student population.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, Biomechanics or related field
- History of engagement in experimental research
Duties
- Teach courses in Neuroanatomy and Neurologic Physical Therapy in the Physical Therapy program
- May participate in department and college committees as assigned by Department Chair
- Be a member/sponsor of doctoral research project committees
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair
