Position

Full-Time Lecturer (Speech-Language Pathology)

Effective Date

August 20, 2012

One (1) year appointment with possibility of renewal up to three (3) years

Salary Range

Commensurate with experience and level of employment

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders  
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Basic Communication Processes, Motor Speech Disorders,  Phonology, Voice, Child Language, Autism Spectrum, and/or Adult Language Disorders
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise graduate students in clinical practicum for any of the aforementioned disorder areas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the California License
  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology or related discipline

 

Duties

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses across the spectrum of Communicative Sciences and Disorders
  • Supervise clinical pratica
  • Supervise student organizations
  • Serve on department committees
