College of Liberal Arts

The largest college at CSULB, Liberal Arts [CLA] has twenty-two departments and programs in the humanities and social and behavioral sciences. They include ethnic studies and women's studies, languages, literature, international and area studies, and journalism. The College offers twenty-four BA and fifteen Master's level degrees to approximately 5,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate majors, and has the central responsibility for general education in the university. Its talented, diversified faculty is committed to teaching excellence, quality scholarship, and the education of a multicultural student body in an intellectually supportive community.
