A day-long opportunity for faculty to reconnect and engage in learning, dialogue, and discussion about a topic of common interest/concern for the coming semester. Institutes are offered in late January and late August, normally the week prior to the beginning of the semester. Lunch is provided. |
Designs4Learning: Blended Learning

Combined online and face-to-face, three-week, instructional design courses that lead to course redesign for improved student learning. Topics include:

| Meet colleagues and get an overview of campus personnel and resources, services and facilities. Program includes informal table discussions and presentations by the Provost, and various units. |
Reach-Out-to-Lecturers' Welcome & Program |
| Supports the continuous improvement of Lecturers to deliver the finest educational services to their students by offering a Lecturer Welcome, a "Faculty Handbook for Lecturers" and Lecturer’s Evaluation Workshops. |

Scholarly Activity |

Scholarly Writing Institute |
| A three-day, intensive writing experience co-sponsored with the Office of University Research. Faculty who register are asked to have most of their research completed (ready to write) and bring a laptop computer for their use. |
