of the Lecturer Events)
- Lecturer Evaluation Workshops
All Lecturers (full-time and part-time temporary faculty)
whose appointments are for two or more semesters must be given
a formal written evaluation, called a Periodic Evaluation. Lecturers
appointed for one semester may request an evaluation.
Lecturers who have no more Service Salary Step Increase (SSI)
eligibility in their current salary range and have five or more
years in their current range have the right to seek Range Elevation.
The CSULB Academic Senate has established the campus range elevation
policy.
Each academic year, the Faculty Center for Professional Development
offers evaluation workshops for Lecturers. Each workshop will
review the policies and procedures for periodic evaluation and
range elevation and discuss strategies for effectively representing
yourself in the evaluation process. If you wish to attend a workshop,

fits your schedule. To access more information and documents

becoming strong candidates for CSU tenure-track faculty positions.

Rae Johnson in Academic Affairs (donnarae@csulb.edu
