Guidelines for Scheduling Your Event in the Karl W. E. Anatol Center
The purpose of the Anatol Center is to accommodate faculty development programs and teaching enhancements for CSULB Faculty, and administrative enhancements for CSULB Staff. Lectures, conferences, classes, student related events and off-campus groups do not meet the criteria and may not be scheduled in the Anatol Center. If you have questions about the purpose and use of the Anatol Center, please contact 5-5287.
Here are a few tips you should familiarize yourself with if you plan to book the Anatol Center for an event in the future:
-
Your event must be booked at least FIVE DAYS, prior to your event. So please plan accordingly.
- Due to lack of facility space on campus, you cannot book the Anatol Center more than two consecutive days during the week. Please contact the Student Union, Academic Scheduling Office or the Pointe if your department is planning an event lasting more than two days.
-
Please contact the Student Union or Academic Scheduling Office for lectures, conferences, classes and student associated events.
-
Due to lack of facility space on campus, you may not book off-campus guests/groups in the Anatol Center. This rule will be enforced.
-
Please contact the Pointe if you plan to collect registration fees for your event. Clients are not allowed to charge for events in the Anatol Center.
-
The fireplace is no longer available for use.
-
You should plan booking an additional 1 hour to 2 hours for set-up and clean up time for your event. Depending on the number of guests you expect to attend, it may take more than one person to setup.
- You must get written permission from the College of the Arts to use the adjoining kitchen.
-
When your event is over, you are responsible for the maintenance of the Center, and placing the furniture back in its proper space. Food items and trash must be removed from the premises. Failure to do this will result in charging your department office a fee for cleaning and maintenance, and you forfeit the use of the Anatol Center for 1 year. No exceptions!!!
-
The Anatol Center's hours of operation are: Sunday - Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you book a weekend event, you are responsible for contacting Facilities Management, the Parking Office and Public Safety. Fridays, after 5:00 p.m., is considered the weekend.
- Please contact 5-5287 to arrange key pickup for the Anatol Center.
