Policies & Guidelines
The purpose of these facilities are to accommodate faculty development programs and teaching enhancements for CSULB Faculty. Lectures, conferences, classes, student events, guests and off-campus groups do not meet the criteria and may not be scheduled in the Faculty Center or its Facilities. If you have questions about the purpose and use of the Faculty Center, please refer to our Mission Statement.
- For the Anatol Center, please refer to Scheduling Events in the Anatol Center.
- The Faculty Center has two conference rooms (the Gallery is located in the open area of AS-12 and will accommodate up to 20 and the Kitchen Conference Room will accommodate 15). Clients wanting to book a small group in the Anatol Center will be asked to book these two areas. Groups of 3 or more, must book the space as a large group would.
- Please be aware that you must make your own copies and bring your own supplies for your
meetings, workshops, or events. The Faculty Center does not loan or give out supplies, or make copies.
- Requests for media
equipment should be made through Audio/Visual
Services (extension 5-2392). The Faculty Center does not provide laptops or data projectors.
- You are responsible for removing all traces of food and restoring the facility back to its
original condition following your event. Please understand that
we can not clean up for you after your event. We will call your
office and request that you return to the Faculty Center. If you are unsure as to the standard room arrangement,
please contact 5-5287.
- If you need to make on-campus phone calls, there is a payphone located near the Beach Hut, next to the stairwell (main entrance to the Academic Services Bldg). You may not use the Faculty Center phones for off-campus calls. Please do not ask to use telephones at the desks of our staff.
- Please do not close the double doors to AS-12, they
are the main entrance to our offices.
- Please notify us (extension 5-5287) if you have any changes
in your event schedule, or if your event is cancelled.
Food
Policies
- Upon request, a refrigerator/freezer is available if you need to store drinks or food
for your meeting, workshop, or event. After your event, please do not leave any food or ice in the refrigerator/freezer. If so, you will be asked to return and pick it up.
- If food is consumed, please clean up the area before your departure. Please
wipe off the tables and spot check the carpet for any spills. We have a mini
vacuum if there are any major spills to clean up. There are extra trash bags
in the bottom of the trash if the trash cans become full. Please put all trash
outside of the main AS Building (south-side end) for the Custodians to pick up.
- Your department will be held responsible for any damages from event attendees
or from food/beverages. As a result, your department may be billed for repairs
and/or cleaning services rendered.
