Dear Fellow ERFA Members, Spouses, & Friends:

You are encouraged to attend our first meeting on the following date which promises to be a notable program on a subject that is of interest to all of us.

Luncheon Meeting and Guest Speaker

Friday, January 26, 2007

11:30 AM – Chart Room

We are fortunate to have as our speaker Jean Houck, Dean of the College of Education. Dean Houck will be speaking on the new PhD Program. Beginning Summer 2007, CSULB will be one of the first campuses in the CSU system to offer an independent doctoral program, Ed. D. in Educational Leadership. This program represents a major achievement and advancement in the history of higher education in California and addresses the demand for highly qualified educational leaders for P-12 school districts and community colleges.

Again, the social hour, including wine and soft drinks, begins at 11:30 AM. The luncheon begins at noon. Cost of lunch is $17.00, payable at the door. For those who need it, shuttle service is provided by the University and is available in Lot 18, located behind the Student Health Center.

Please contact Ada Mae Hardeman on or before Monday, January 22, 2006.

Sincerely,  John Baird
