About the Forum:

The public is invited to participate in this year's Community Issues Forum, Bridging the Digital Divide Between Parents and Youth.  Organizers invite participants to discuss issues related to the positives and negatives of internet technology.  Parents will learn how to appreciate popular sites such as MySpace while still protecting their children from internet predators.

8:00 - 8:30am           Registration/Check-in

10:15 - 10:30am        Break

11:30 - 12:00pm        Lunch

Location:

The Pyramid is located on the north side of the CSU Long Beach campus, on the corner of the intersection of Merriam Drive/Fanwood and Atherton Street.  The entrance to The Pointe is located under the Pyramid stairs, northeast of the parking structure.  Click here for a campus map.

Parking:
Parking for the forum will be located in the campus parking structure off of Merriam Way, next to the Pyramid. There will be signs directing you to the parking structure, where an attendant will provide you with a free parking pass. You must have a pass to park on campus. If you arrive late to the forum and no longer see a parking attendant, please visit the Visitor Information Center, located at Beach Drive, and they will issue you a parking permit.

Directions to Campus:
From 405 Fwy Southbound
Exit at Bellflower Blvd. Turn left from the off-ramp and then make an immediate right on Bellflower Blvd. Continue to Atherton and turn left. Turn right on Merriam Way entering the campus. Turn left into the parking structure, where a parking attendant will provide you with a free parking pass. You must have a pass to park on campus.

From 405 Fwy Northbound / 22 Fwy West / 605 Fwy South
Exit at 7th Street and continue to Bellflower Blvd. Turn right at Bellflower Blvd. Passing the Beach Drive entrance, turn right on Atherton and make another right on Merriam Way entering the campus. Turn left into the parking structure, where a parking attendant will provide you with a free parking pass. You must have a pass to park on campus.
