Associate Vice President for Academic Personnel

Holly Harbinger was appointed Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs in March 2008 after serving as Associate Dean of the College of the Arts at CSULB. She also served the College of the Arts as Director of Graduate Studies. Prior to that, she was a tenured Professor in the Theatre Arts Department, where she served as interim Department Chair and was Head of Movement, Resident Choreographer for California Repertory Company, and Graduate Advisor. She received a B.A. in English from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1971 and an M.F.A. in Dance from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts in 1975.

Holly Harbinger has been a performer, choreographer, and fight master in theatre, dance, and opera companies in New York and throughout the United States and Europe. She taught in the Dance Department at the City University of New York and in the Undergraduate Drama Program at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. She was a contributing author for a textbook on university actor training. She has been a member of Theatre Movement Educators, a conference presenter on applications of Laban Movement Analysis for actor training programs, and an advocate for the arts and graduate education.
